After returning home from Aunty Jacinda's place in the afternoon, mummy quickly rushed to prepare the food for tonight with the help of daddy cos they have got one group of friends coming over for dinner and mahjong as well.
In fact, they had the same steamboat dinner with home-made chilli sauce 2 years back and all of them loved it very much. Fyi, mummy learnt this home-made chilli sauce from da-gu cos the taste is so good and it's just the right sauce for steamboat. And you can only get the main ingredient from Thailand which is the chilli sauce in order to mix it with another type of chilli sauce and rest of the ingredients. Therefore, they have been asking for it last year but because I'm still small during then, so mummy has got no time to prepare all those things. And since they ask the same question this year, mummy is thinking why not since I have already grown up and its a good time to get together too.
As usual, they still love the steamboat and chilli sauce so much that Uncle Yucai gobble up 2 bowls of rice. Daddy & mummy are happy to see that the guests are enjoying the food that we have prepared.
Lastly, these are our guests for the day but too bad we have forgotten to take a group photo cos mummy was busy getting the stuffs ready.
Fyi, they get to know each other during secondary school days and are heading towards their 17th years of friendship and more. Not only that, they are also mummy's usual kakis for mahjong.
On the 8th day of Lunar New Year happens to be Thaddeus 1st birthday party (Aunty Jacinda's younger son). And of cos, we are invited to his birthday party and also to 拜年 at the same time.
We were told by Aunty Jacinda to reach earlier on that day so that we will not miss the balloon sculpture for kids. Upon hearing that, mummy is quite excited about it cos not only she knows that I love balloons. She, herself love balloons very much too, especially when it's balloon sculptures.
Upon reaching there, mummy is quite amazed with the balloon sculpture lady when she saw her speed and creativity in doing the sculpture. She is so skillful that she could just use her fingers to tear or break the balloons into 2 after twisting it without using the scissors. Mummy named her the balloon sculpture wonder lady.
She has also made a lot of sculptures like Mickey Mouse, octopus, cow, bouquet of flowers, goofy, bear, pig, stalk of rose and many more. You will get whatever you have asked for provided there's sufficient time for her to do cos she only has 2 hours there to make sculptures for all the kids. As for me, I have request for a stalk of flower & a Minnie Mouse. Isn't it nice?

After the lady left, it was time to cut the cake & sing Happy Birthday song to Thaddeus. Mickey Mouse is his birthday theme and the decos were all done up very nicely as well as his Mickey Mouse Birthday Cake & Jelly Cake. I also loved the goody bag cos there's a pretty magic wand for girls. And the birthday boy did really enjoy himself very much & he's so cheerful & bubbly throughout.
Overall, we had a fun time there and here's wishing Thaddeus a very Happy 1st Birthday & may you be handsome, healthy & cheerful always!

Every year as usual, we will go to my tai ma's hse (mum's side) on the second day of Lunar New Year to 拜年. After that, we will go straight to my 三叔公 house together for dinner & sing karaoke without fail. This has been going on & on for the past 5 to 6 years and I only started to join them this year cos I'm only 3.5 months old last year, and for sure I'm not able to bear the karaoke noise.
But this year is so different for me cos I enjoy most of the songs they sing and play, I even dance happily by myself when they play the Michael Jackson songs.
As I'm the youngest over there, therefore everybody likes to carry me and take pictures with me. Out of some pictures that I have taken here with are 四婶婆 & An Ting 姐姐.
First day of Chinese New Year, we went to gong gong's house at around 11am plus to 拜年.
After that, we headed together to tai ma's house to 拜年 too.
Upon reaching there, we get to see most of our relatives (father's side) there and I get to receive quite alot of angbaos too.
As you can see, I was actually wearing a purple dress when taking family picture, and that is what I am suppose to wear for my 1st birthday party. But it was somehow abit big & loose for me during then and at last its now just nice for me. After that, daddy ask mummy to change me to my 'tiger' outfit so that it's much more cooler & easier for me to move about.
And now do meet me with some of my relatives.
Hours later, we headed to grandma's house in the evening and too bad daddy & mummy have forgotten to take pictures cos they are all too busy playing mahjong.

Finally, CNY eve is here and it's time to gather around for reunion dinner.
These are the steamboat stuffs that are prepared by my ah ma & da gu and there's also braised pork with sea cucumber & deer's tendon and it's yummy.

As Chinese New Year is coming soon, daddy & mummy have bought some CNY decos to decorate the house.
And also not forgetting some CNY goodies too. But of cos daddy & mummy did not bought the hampers themselves. The hamper on the right is given to mummy by her company and this is the 5th hamper that she has got as its a yearly affair so far. And time really flies cos she has been working in this company for the 5th year and so far this is also the only company that she has worked the longest.
As for the hamper on the left, daddy got it through draw lots from his company. And isn't he lucky cos there's only 5 hampers to be drawn among 16 staffs and this brand new year seems to be a lucky year for daddy too cos he has won $200 cash angbao (third prize) during his company D & D in Jan 10 for the first time, followed by striking 4D consolation prize in the same month and now this hamper. Daddy is quite pleased with himself too as he has never had this good luck before. And may the year of Tiger brings lots of luck, wealth, good health, happiness & prosperity to our family! Huat ah! =)

Daddy & mummy have subscribe the cartoon network channel for me several months ago and that doesn't really interest me during then except for TV advertisement.
And as I grow older, my interest in watching cartoon starts to grow. From few seconds of watching has now slowly increased to few minutes but mummy will also not allow me to watch tv for long too cos it's not good for my eyes.
When mummy ask if I wanna watch cartoon, I will nod my head and say cartoon as 'car-ten' which I still can't pronounce it clearly yet but mummy is still able to make out what I'm saying.
At times, I will even stand up and dance by swinging my body or imitate them by humming when I saw children singing and dancing.
Saying 'cheeze' is one of my trademark now cos whenever I saw daddy or mummy taking out their camera, I will immediately pose & 'cheeze' for them to take pictures of me.
Most of the time when my parents & relatives saw me 'cheezing', they will start to laugh cos I look SO ADORABLE when I do that. And mummy always can't help to give me a kiss or hug when she saw this super adorable ME!
